[staff-physics-and-astronomy-HL-UHD-UD] Opleiding Impact & Leerlijn Valorisatie en Impact

Hi all,

Below you will find information on two programs that are offered within the VU. We are asked to nominate those eligible and interested.

  1.  Course Impact
The Impact program is intended for mid-career UDs or UHDs with a track record in research. There is a Dutch-language (start 21 March 2024) and English-language variant (start 26 September 2024). For the internal selection we ask you to nominate candidates by sending a CV and short motivation. This can be done until 19 December 2023 at the latest. Participation will cost 2,750 euros, of which 1,375 euros will be paid by the departments involved (see flyers for more info).
Take aways:

  *   Nominations of candidates can be made by Directors of Valorisation: deadline 12 January 2024. Max 3-4 per faculty and RMP. We will do another selection. Nominations can be sent to: Diane Schöller: d.scholler at amsterdamumc.nl<mailto:d.scholler at amsterdamumc.nl>
  *   Target group: mid-career talented researchers who would like to further their skills in Impact (see also flyers and PPT presentation)
  *   Overview of former participants, see the appendix, and see the flyer for a few quotes.
  *   Settlement will take place on a 50/50 basis: 1,375 by IXA and 1,375 RMP/Faculty/Department (to be determined by RMPs, Faculties)

  *   Attached are the flyers for the program content, target group and all other dates.

  1.  Curriculum on Valorisation and Impact - pilot
The program on Impact and Valorisation is a pilot, specifically intended for PhDs in their final phase and postdocs who want to orientate or develop in valorisation and impact. There is no charge for this. Departments can nominate suitable candidates until 8 January at the latest. Candidates can also apply themselves directly via Caroline (see flyers, for more info).
Take aways:

  *   Nominations can be made until 8 January 2024 to c.kleinestaarman at vu.nl<mailto:c.kleinestaarman at vu.nl>. Candidates can also apply themselves to Caroline Kleine Staarman
  *   Target group: PhDs in their final phase and Postdocs who want to explore or develop in valorisation and impact creation. This Learning Line is a nice stepping stone for the Impact Training Course.
  *   There is no cost for participating in the Learning Line. However, registration is mandatory.
  *   In the attachment, more information about the Valorisation and Impact Learning Line and answers to the questions that arose from IBVU of 26 September.

Attached are several appendices with more information on the Impact Training and the Curriculum.
