Dear all,

Last week we’ve invited all teachers in the BSc Mechanical Engineering
programs at both the UT and UTVU to submit graduation assignment(s).
This year, we collect all assignments at once for the Mechanical
Engineering students from UT and UTVU. Like last year, two students can
be assigned to one assignment. Thus, this can be a student from either
the UT or UTVU program, or a mix of both programs. We hereby invite you
to *submit assignment description(s) *or to forward this email to anyone
who might be interested.

In February 2023 (week 6), the ME BSc graduation assignments (modules
11-12 / semester 6) will start. The students write a proposal in the
academic & research skills course, and do their research assignment in
ten weeks during April - June 2023. The assignment is concluded at the
BSc conference in beginning of July (or August for delays).

**

Assignment descriptions should therefore be sent by*January 12^th * so
we can complete the overview, inform the students well in advance and
give them a chance to orientate on the assignments before selecting
their preferences at the assignment market that takes place in early
February.

For the assignment description please describe the following:

   * Assignment title:
   * Assignment description (in about 100 words):
   * Experimental equipment, test set-up, production data, available for
the assignment (at UT / VU / company):
   * Name of company supervisor(s) and company (if applicable):
   * Name of UT / VU supervisor:
   * Base location for the assignment: UT / VU / company’s location:
   * Can the assignment language be English (UT-standard) or is Dutch
     required:

Send your assignment by email to
bscassignment-utvu-me at utwente.nl<mailto:bscassignment-utvu-me at utwente.nl>or
fill in the online form on
www.utwente.nl/en/company-u/graduation-assignment<https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.utwente.nl%2Fen%2Fcompany-u%2Fgraduation-assignment&data=05%7C01%7Cbscassignment-utvu-me%40utwente.nl%7C76e9d550cc934cdb226408dad85a37f7%7C723246a1c3f543c5acdc43adb404ac4d%7C0%7C0%7C638060179782334062%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=yqeSuqKeOzRm6N%2FkXKWif0XfEGgo9IxpvGPCc7GZ1ys%3D&reserved=0>

We are looking forward to receiving your assignment descriptions!

*Some dates **to re**member:***

   * *Information meeting for supervisors*. In mid-January online
information meetings will be organized for supervisors where we will
give more explanation about how things will be organized and what is
expected from the students and their supervisors. There will also be
room for discussion and questions. The idea is that you attend one
of these meetings (during lunch break). Invitations will be sent later.
   * *Assignment market*. The BSc assignment will start with an
assignment market on February 10th where students talk to
supervisors about the assignments they are interested in. It would
be helpful if you could be at the market (or send a replacement).
The market will take place on February 10^th between 14.30 – 16.00
hrs.
If you have questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

With kind regards,

Boukje
