Bijgevoegd ontvang je een overzicht van de Beta aanmeldingen van alle opleidingen op peildatum 2 juni 2025, inclusief voorlopige instroomprognoses en marktaandelen.
Let op: aanmeldingen zijn geen inschrijvingen.

Instroomprognoses
In het bestand zijn de voorlopige instroomprognoses voor 2025 meegenomen. De instroomprognoses zijn gebaseerd op de conversie van aanmeldingen naar voltijd hoofdinschrijvingen van de afgelopen jaren. Het model dat hiervoor wordt gebruikt is ontwikkeld door het VU Education Analytics Team. De conversie is de afgelopen jaren sterk beïnvloed door externe factoren (covid, Brexit, herinvoering studiebeurs) en daardoor momenteel moeilijk te voorspellen.
In dit tabblad zie je informatie voor alle Beta aanmeldingen en de verwachte instroom en het verschil met de instroom van vorig jaar. Ook is er een kolom beschikbaar met alle ontvangen aanmeldingen per opleiding, inclusief teruggetrokken/afgewezen aanmeldingen.
NL en EER studenten die zich na 1 juni voor de master opleiding aanmelden worden afgewezen, met uitzondering voor direct toelaatbare Bachelor- en Premasterstudenten.

Opvallende cijfers Bèta

  *   Er zijn momenteel 11% minder Bachelor aanmeldingen dan vorig jaar. De instroomprognoses voor bBIO en bFAR komen op een stijging van boven 20% uit.
  *   Voor de masteropleidingen zien we nog steeds een groei voor mBMOL en mMPA. Opvallend is ook het totaal aanmeldingen voor mMAT, waarbij het aantal aanmeldingen in vergelijking met vorig jaar bijna verdubbeld is.
  *   Voor de meeste opleidingen zien we inmiddels een klein aantal reeds goedgekeurde aanmeldingen. Deze vind je terug in het tabblad ‘Aanmeldingen per toelatingscat’. Voor de Joint Degrees waarvan de UvA penvoerder is zijn alleen goedgekeurde aanmeldingen zichtbaar.

Numeri Fixi opleidingen
Op 15 april hebben de aanmelders voor de drie NF opleidingen hun rangnummer gekregen. Zij hebben twee weken om hun plaats te accepteren.
Afgewezen plaatsen worden aangeboden aan het eerstvolgende rangnummer, die vervolgens ook twee weken de tijd heeft om te accepteren.
NB: Niet iedereen die nu een plek heeft geaccepteerd zal daadwerkelijk instromen.
Op dit moment ziet de verdeling er als volgt uit.

Markaandelen
Op basis van de huidige aanmeldingen wordt ook een overzicht van de marktaandelen beschikbaar gesteld. Hierin staan de gewogen aanmeldingen: Studenten met twee studielink aanmeldingen tellen voor de helft mee in het aantal aanmeldingen, studenten met drie aanmeldingen tellen voor 1/3 mee, etc.

  *   Deadlines en afwijsmomenten verschillen per instellingen en dit kan de marktaandelen in dit stadium vertekenen.
  *   Dit overzicht kan een indicatie geven over hoe de VU aanmeldingen zich verhouden tot die aan andere instellingen. Opvallende verschillen met vorig jaar zijn gemarkeerd. Zo valt op dat AI en CS overal voorlopig lijken te dalen, met uitzondering van de RUG. De master mBMED aan de UvA en de RUG lijkt sterk te stijgen. Verder lijkt het totale cluster Computational Science ook toe te nemen.
NB: Ook hier kunnen procedurele verschillen nog voor verschuivingen zorgen.
  *   De aanmeldcijfers voor de Joint Degrees zijn alleen zichtbaar voor de penvoerder instelling omdat alle aanmeldingen nu daar plaatsvinden.

De volgende update van de aanmeldcijfers zal op 19 juni worden gedeeld.

Please find enclosed an overview of Beta applications from all Bachelor and Master programs as of reference date 2nd of June, including preliminary enrolment prognoses and market shares.

Enrollment prognoses
The file includes preliminary enrollment prognoses for 2025. The prognoses are based on the conversion of applications to full-time main enrollments in recent years. The model used for this purpose was developed by the VU Education Analytics Team. Conversion in recent years has been heavily influenced by external factors (covid, Brexit, reintroduction of scholarship) and is therefore currently difficult to predict.
In this tab, you will see information for all Beta applications and the expected enrolment and the difference from last year's enrolment. There is also a column available with applications received per program, including withdrawn/rejected applications.
NL and EEA students applying for the master program after June 1 will be rejected, except for directly admissible bachelor and premaster students.

Beta Notable figures

  *   There are currently 11% fewer Bachelor applications than last year. Enrollment prognoses for bBIO and bFAR indicate at an increase above 20%.
  *   For master's programs, we continue to see growth for mBMOL and mMPA. Notable is the total applications for mMAT, where the number of applications almost doubled compared to last year.
  *   For most programs, we now see a small number of approved applications. These can be found in the tab ‘Aanmeldingen per toelatingscat’. For the Joint Degrees for which the UvA is the leading institue, only approved applications are visible.

Numeri Fixi programs
On April 15, applicants for the three NF program received their rank numbers. They have two weeks to accept their places.
Rejected places are offered to the next rank number, who then also has two weeks to accept.
NB: Not every applicant that has currently accepted their place, will eventually enroll.

Market shares
Based on current applications, a summary of market shares is also made available. This includes weighted applications: Students with two studielink applications count for half in the number of applications, students with three applications count for 1/3, etc.

  *   Deadlines and rejection times may vary between institutions, and this may distort market shares at this stage.
  *   This overview may give an indication of how VU applications compare to those at other institutions. Notable differences from last year are highlighted. Masters mBMED at the UvA and the RUG seem to be rising sharply. Furthermore, the whole Computational Science cluster also seems to be increasing. Furthermore, it is notable that AI and CS applications seem to be declining everywhere, except for the RUG. Note: Again, procedural differences may still cause shifts.
  *   The application figures for the Joint Degrees are only visible to the leading institution because all applications now take place there.

The next update of application figures will be distributed on June the 19th
