zie hier een reminder van een van onze VU‑conservatoren Eline Bos om aan te sluiten voor een Nederlandstalige presentatie over bijzondere erfgoed- en kunstobjecten uit de tentoonstelling Fly Us to the Moon.

here is a reminder from one of our VU curators Eline Bos to join us for a Dutch-language presentation about special heritage and art objects from the exhibition Fly Us to the Moon.

Op dit moment is er in het Hoofdgebouw een tentoonstelling over maanonderzoek, georganiseerd door de Bijzondere Collecties van Universiteitsbibliotheek VU. Dinsdag a.s. 7 april geven de makers, ikzelf en collega Jeroen Bos, een presentatie over de tentoonstelling die open is voor alle studenten en collega’s aan de VU.

We verwachten dat de medewerkers van jullie afdeling wellicht interesse hebben in de tentoonstelling. Zouden jullie daarom onderstaand bericht met hen willen delen?

On April 7 at 13.00, VU heritage curators Jeroen Bos and Eline Bos will present (in Dutch) their exhibition Fly Us to the Moon: on lunar exploration in the past, present, and future.

Drawing on the Special Collections of the VU University Library, we will explore our universal and age-old (scientific) fascination with the moon by exhibiting various heritage and art objects. These include several rare lunar and celestial globes and a work of art where you can smell the recreated ‘scent of the moon’.

The presentation lasts 30 minutes and is open to all interested colleagues and students at VU Amsterdam.
