Just as a quick reminder before you will leave for your summer holiday.



  1.  Register your holiday and Leave of absence  >> Holiday leave and holiday leave chart<https://services.vu.nl/esc?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=125deefa1b7ce4105713a64f2e4bcbe8>
  2.  How to manage switching off/on your holiday registration yourself via the self-service portal. The direct link to portal is: Activate or de-activate holiday leave registration<https://services.vu.nl/esc?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=9da70a35db9110102d1296d8db961922>.
  3.  Please be aware that if you register your hours on a project, you cannot switch off the holiday registration. And please make sure your register your holiday hours in Success Factors as well in order for the reports to run correctly.

And please be aware of the section Holiday leave and termination of employment<https://vu.nl/en/employee/holiday-and-leave/holiday> in which is stated   Managers are responsible for ensuring that employees use all holiday leave entitlements prior to the date employment terminates. If holiday leave hours are being taken as part of the Individual choices model, the Flexible working hours scheme and/or Long-term saving model, then they will be offset against the holiday leave balance. If there is any remaining balance, these holiday leave hours must be taken as time off before the employment contract ends. The remainder of the holiday leave balance will only be paid out if there is no other way to use up the entitlements.
