Dear all,

We like to draw your attention to the possibility to submit proposals for the Internal Call Alliance VU-UT 2025. Researchers can apply for €10,000 (Spark Grant) to explore a collaboration between the two institutions or €35,000 (Seed Grant) to research something together, develop a product or build a consortium to secure a larger grant. In particular, young researchers (in a team with more experienced colleagues) and teachers/researchers in joint teaching are invited to apply. The deadline is February 15, 2025.

To support applications for prestigious (inter)national grants, €25,000 (High Profile Grant) can be applied for throughout the year (maximum two grants per year).

Beste afdelingshoofden en managers,

Ik wil jullie graag informeren over de nieuwe call VU-UT 2025. De Alliantie VU-UT stelt € 375.000 beschikbaar om interdisciplinair onderzoek, samenwerking en grote, ambitieuze onderzoeksprojecten te stimuleren tussen de VU en de UT.

Onderzoekers kunnen aanvragen indienen voor:

  *   Seed grants (€ 35.000):
Voor gezamenlijk onderzoek, de ontwikkeling van producten of het bouwen van consortia gericht op het verkrijgen van grotere subsidies.

  *   Spark grants (€ 10.000):
Voor het verkennen van nieuwe samenwerkingsmogelijkheden tussen onderzoekers van beide instellingen.

  *   High profile grants (€ 25.000):
Voor ondersteuning bij het indienen van voorstellen voor prestigieuze (inter)nationale subsidies (maximaal twee beurzen per jaar).

Wie kan aanvragen indienen voor seed grants en spark grants?

  *   De spark grants en seed grants zijn met name bedoeld voor jong talent.
  *   Jonge onderzoekers (tot 7 effectieve jaren na hun PhD) worden aangemoedigd om een voorstel in te dienen.
  *   Twee jonge onderzoekers van de VU en de UT kunnen samen met meer senior collega’s een groep vormen.
  *   Wetenschappelijk personeel dat betrokken is bij gezamenlijke VU-UT onderwijsactiviteiten kan een aanvraag indienen.
Andere aanvragen kunnen in aanmerking komen als er onvoldoende kwalitatief goede voorstellen zijn van bovenstaande groepen.

Budget
Het budget kan worden gebruikt voor personeelskosten en/of andere kosten zoals apparatuur, benodigdheden, publicaties, communicatie of reizen.

Rapportage en communicatie van resultaten
Van elk project wordt een tussentijds en eindverslag verwacht. Bovendien dienen de resultaten actief te worden gecommuniceerd, bijvoorbeeld via deelname aan gezamenlijke evenementen zoals (poster)sessies op VU-UT uitwisselingsdagen.
