Subject: [Spam] [Amepstaff] Students looking for experimental MSc projects

Dear research group leaders,

From september on, we, 1st-year students of the Advanced Matter and Energy Physics master track, are hoping to start working on our theses. In order to find a suitable project for each of us, we would like to get to know you!

Therefore, we are organising two sessions of the AMEP Project SpeedDates. The idea is that a representative of each research group speaks to each AMEP student one-on-one for five minutes. This way, we can hear about every available project in our field and you can get an impression of us, our interests and personalities, in a fun and interactive meet-and-greet.

The first of these events will take place at SP905 in the Science Park campus (B0.202) on Monday May 9th from 11:00-13:00, consisting of two speeddate rounds of a little more than 50 minutes each. The second event takes place at the VU-campus in the W&N building (WN-G076) on Tuesday May 17th from 15:30-17:30, with the same format of two rounds. The AMOLF research groups are organising their own event in May in the AMOLF building on the Science Park campus.

To make the most of the 5-minute-SpeedDate, we would like to ask you to send us an overview of your possible projects (no more than one A4 per project) as a pdf that we can read beforehand. Please send an email to amep.seminar.info if you want to participate in one of the events with the name of your research group, your preferred time slot (date/1st or 2nd hour) and your A4(s) if you already have that at hand.

Also, please get in contact if you really cannot make it on this date, we can discuss another way to hear about your available projects. Of course, the overview A4(s) of your available projects are very welcome in any case.

Kind regards, and hope to see you there!
The AMEP Seminar Team 2021-2022
