Beste collega’s,

Bijgevoegd ontvangen jullie een overzicht van de Bèta aanmeldingen van alle bachelor en masteropleidingen op peildatum 30 april 2025.
Let op: aanmeldingen zijn geen inschrijvingen.

Opvallende cijfers Bèta

  *   Er zijn momenteel 7026 voorlopige aanmeldingen voor de hele faculteit, 8,2% minder dan vorig jaar.
  *   De aanmeldingen voor bAED en bMNW zij nu meer gelijk aan voorgaande jaren dan de afgelopen weken het geval was.
  *   De toename in aanmeldingen voor mBMOL en mMPA is hoger dan bij de vorige update. Ook mBA laat een positief verschil zien t.o.v. 15 april.
  *   Aanmeldingen voor de Joint Degrees, waarvan de UvA penvoerder is, worden pas zichtbaar als deze de status ‘Goedgekeurd’ krijgen.

Marktaandelen op basis van gewogen aanmeldingen
Op basis van de huidige aanmeldingen wordt ook een overzicht van de marktaandelen beschikbaar gesteld. Hierin staan de gewogen aanmeldingen: Studenten met twee studielink aanmeldingen tellen voor de helft mee in het aantal aanmeldingen, studenten met drie aanmeldingen tellen voor 1/3 mee, etc.
Dit overzicht kan een indicatie geven over hoe de VU aanmeldingen zich verhouden tot die aan andere instellingen.

  *   Deadlines en afwijsmomenten verschillen per instellingen en dit kan de marktaandelen in dit stadium vertekenen.
  *   De aanmeldcijfers voor de Joint Degrees zijn alleen zichtbaar voor de penvoerder instelling omdat alle aanmeldingen nu daar plaatsvinden.
  *   Opvallende ontwikkelingen op niveau van een heel cluster of van een specifieke instelling zijn in het tabblad gemarkeerd. Zie o.a. de bachelors en masters BMED, B Biomedische Technologie aan de RUG, M Biosciences en M Neuroscience and Cognition aan UU.

Numeri Fixi opleidingen
Op 15 april hebben de aanmelders voor de drie NF opleidingen hun rangnummer gekregen. Zij hebben twee weken om hun plaats te accepteren.
Afgewezen plaatsen worden aangeboden aan het eerstvolgende rangnummer, die vervolgens ook twee weken de tijd heeft om te accepteren.
In het Excel-overzicht zijn de aantallen voor de NF opleidingen hoger, hier zitten een aantal foutieve hogerejaars aanmeldingen tussen. De aantallen in de tabel hieronder zijn actueel en juist.
NB: Niet iedereen die nu een plek heeft geaccepteerd zal daadwerkelijk instromen. Ter vergelijking staat in het laatste kolom het percentage geaccepteerde plaatsen van week 18 2024 dat later toch afgevallen/teruggetrokken is.

Aanmelddeadlines
Niet EER-studenten die zich na 1 april aanmelden worden afgewezen. Internationale premaster aanmelders worden nog afgewezen.
De bachelor deadline van 1 mei wordt door een aantal opleidingen streng gehanteerd, anderen nemen aanmeldingen hierna nog wel in behandeling.
Voor de masters geldt 1 juni als deadline, met uitzondering van mGH, mES en mCSec. Zij hanteren 15 juli als deadline voor Nederlandse/Europese studenten.

De volgende update van de aanmeldcijfers zal op 15 mei worden gedeeld.

Please find enclosed an overview of Beta applications from all Bachelor and Master programs as of reference date April 30 2025.
Please note: applications are not yet enrolments.

Beta Notable figures

  *   There are currently 7026 provisional applications for the entire faculty, 8,2% down from last year.
  *   Applications for bAED and bMNW are now more similar to previous years than in the last weeks.
  *   The increase in applications for mBMOL and mMPA is higher than in the previous update. mBA also shows a positive difference compared to 15 April.
  *   Applications for the Joint Degrees for which the UvA is the lead institution do not become visible until they receive the status 'Approved'.

Market shares based on weighted applications
Based on current applications, a summary of market shares is also made available. This includes weighted applications: Students with two studielink applications count for half in the number of applications, students with three applications count for 1/3, etc.
This overview may give an indication of how VU applications compare to those at other institutions.

  *   Deadlines and rejection times may vary between institutions, and this may distort market shares at this stage.
  *   The application figures for the Joint Degrees are only visible to the leading institution because all applications now take place there.
  *   Notable developments at the level of an entire cluster or of a specific institution are highlighted in the tab. See e.g. the bachelors and masters BMED, B Biomedische Technologie at RUG, M Biosciences and M Neuroscience and Cognition at UU.

Numeri Fixi programs
On April 15, applicants for the three NF program received their rank numbers. They have two weeks to accept their places.
Rejected places are offered to the next rank number, who then also has two weeks to accept.
In the Excel overview, the numbers for the NF programmes are higher, there are some inaccurate higher-year registrations among them. The numbers in the table below are current and correct.
NB: Not every applicant that has currently accepted their place, will eventually enroll. For comparison, the last column shows the percentage of accepted places from week 18 2024 that were later withdrawn anyway.

Application deadlines Masters programs
Non-EEA students applying after 1 April will be rejected. International premaster applicants will still be rejected.
The bachelor's deadline of 1 May is strictly enforced by some programmes, others still accept applications after that.
The deadline for masters programmes is 1 June, with the exception of mGH, mES and mCSec. They use 15 July as the deadline for Dutch/European students.
The next update of application figures will be distributed on May 15th.
