Beste collega’s,

Bijgevoegd ontvangen jullie een overzicht van de Bèta aanmeldingen van alle bachelor en masteropleidingen op peildatum 2 april 2025.
Let op: aanmeldingen zijn geen inschrijvingen.

Opvallende cijfers Bèta

  *   Er zijn momenteel 6727 voorlopige aanmeldingen voor de hele faculteit, waarvan 1632 op ‘Portal voltooid’ en 1386 op ‘Voorwaardelijk geaccepteerd’. Een groot deel van de aanmelders staat op de status ‘Initieel’.
  *   Voor de bacheloropleidingen wijkt de daling van het totaal aanmeldingen iets af t.o.v. van 3 weken geleden. Het valt wel op dat bGZW en bMNW minder aanmeldingen hebben in vergelijking met voorafgaande jaren.
  *   Het aandeel van de Bachelor aanmeldingen met Nederlandse nationaliteit verschilt verhoudingsgewijs amper t.o.v. het aandeel met internationale herkomst.
  *   M.b.t. de masteropleidingen is er sprake van een daling van 7,1 % t.o.v. vorig jaar. Voor de masters BMOL en MPA zien we dat het aantal aanmeldingen hoger is dan voorafgaande jaren.  De verhouding aanmeldingen Nederlandse vs. Internationale herkomst blijft ongeveer hetzelfde in vergelijking met vorig jaar.
  *   Aanmeldingen voor de Joint Degrees, waarvan de UvA penvoerder is, worden pas zichtbaar als deze de status ‘Goedgekeurd’ krijgen.

Numeri Fixi opleidingen

  *   Rangnummers worden vanaf 15 april gecommuniceerd. Hierna hebben de aanmelders twee weken om hun plaats te accepteren.

Marktaandelen
Op basis van de huidige aanmeldingen wordt ook een overzicht van de marktaandelen beschikbaar gesteld. Hierin staan de gewogen aanmeldingen: Studenten met twee studielink aanmeldingen tellen voor de helft mee in het aantal aanmeldingen, studenten met drie aanmeldingen tellen voor 1/3 mee, etc.

  *   Deadlines en afwijsmomenten verschillen per instellingen en dit kan de marktaandelen in dit stadium vertekenen.
  *   Dit overzicht kan een indicatie geven over hoe de VU aanmeldingen zich verhouden tot die aan andere instellingen. Zo valt op dat AI en CS overal voorlopig lijken dalen, met uitzondering van de RUG. NB: Ook hier kunnen procedurele verschillen nog voor verschuivingen zorgen.
  *   De aanmeldcijfers voor de Joint Degrees zijn alleen zichtbaar voor de penvoerder instelling omdat alle aanmeldingen nu daar plaatsvinden.

De volgende update van de aanmeldcijfers zal op 17 april worden gedeeld.

Please find enclosed an overview of Beta applications from all Bachelor and Master programs as of reference date April, 2 2025.
Please note: applications are not yet enrolments.

Beta Notable figures

  *   There are currently 6727 provisional applications for the entire faculty, of which 1632 are on 'Portal Voltooid' and 1386 are on ‘Voorwaardelijk geaccepteerd’. A large proportion of applicants are on 'Initiëel' status.
  *   For the bachelor programs, the decrease in total applications differs slightly from 3 weeks ago. It is noticeable that bGZW and bMNW have fewer applications compared to previous years.
  *   The proportion of Bachelor applications with Dutch nationality hardly differs from the proportion with international origin.
  *   With regard to the Master programs, there is a decrease of 7.1% compared to last year. For the masters BMOL and MPA we see that the number of applications is higher than previous years.  The ratio of applications of Dutch vs. international origin remains about the same compared to last year.
  *   Applications for the Joint Degrees for which the UvA is the lead institution do not become visible until they receive the status 'Approved'.

Numeri Fixi programs
Rank numbers will be communicated starting April 15. After this, applicants will have two weeks to accept their places.

Market shares
Based on current applications, a summary of market shares is also made available. This includes weighted applications: Students with two studielink applications count for half in the number of applications, students with three applications count for 1/3, etc.

  *   Deadlines and rejection times may vary between institutions, and this may distort market shares at this stage.
  *   This overview may give an indication of how VU applications compare to those at other institutions. For example, it is notable that AI and CS seem to be falling everywhere for the time being, with the exception of the RUG. Note: Again, procedural differences may still cause shifts.
  *   The application figures for the Joint Degrees are only visible to the leading institution because all applications now take place there.

The next update of application figures will be distributed on April the 17th.
