Subject: 500 MHz Spectrometer
Hello NMR users,
Some of you might have noticed that the integrals (belonging to a single compound) in 1H spectra recorded on the 500 do not show an optimal relation to another. In the 1H spectra the integrals in the higher frequency region (aromatic) are in general between 10-20% lower than in the lower frequency region. Though the spectra still look very good and can still be used to quite an extend for qualitative analyses, it is a serious issue for quantitative experiments.
Therefore, do not use the 500 for quantitative analyses. You can still use the 300 and, when authorized, the 600 for these types of experiments.
Sadly, this is a hardware issue that I cannot fix and Bruker has replaced the involved modules with no effect. I am working on a solution.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Elwin
