[Im4ca-wp1.beta] Information from Petrom

[Röckmann, T. (Thomas)]

Dear IM4CA WP1 team (particularly for the ground teams):

Two important updates, and one question to Sebastian below:

1) We have now received per email an official confirmation from OMV Petrom stating their support to our campaign. They have also informed their workforce to be supportive. We wanted to have a letter with their logo on it, but they mentioned this is not necessary and the present email is sufficient. So please find the confirmation mail attached both in Romanian and in English, there are also copies on the Research Drive.

2) OMV-Petrom has confirmed that we only need a safety training by their company if we actually enter their facilities, and that we do not need it if we stay on the streets (actually they mentioned that they do not have any authority to provide training to us outside their facilities). If we want to enter the facilities we have to request this in writing and then we will get appropriate safety trainings. Since we were not planning to ask for a lot of site access this is generally a good news, and it means that we can really start with measurements.
There is potentially still a grey area which are streets that may not always be public but received to the oil and gas operations. For the time being we assume that these are streets that we can also use. We have the endorsement letters and if there are problems we will get back to them.

@ Sebastian: What is the situation now with flight permits for the drone teams? Do we need to get them for each day and region? Or is is OK if we stay below 50 m or so?

Thomas
