I hope this message finds you safe and sound and also that you had (or continue to have) a good summer break; here at home, school has started again since the beginning of August, disproportionately early).

I would like to draw your attention to a text of mine that was published a few weeks ago (unfortunately only in German), which takes a look at the role, the meaning, the discussions about and the ways of reaction of binational couples in divided Germany, with a temporal focus on the 1960s to 1980s. In many respects, it is also about the aftermath of National Socialist regulation of intimacy in democracy and dictatorship. The text was published in the journal "Geschichte und Gesellschaft".
