Dear all,

Hope you had a good summer break and had a good start of the new season.
With this email I would like to inform you about the state of affairs of the Euromix Research Project. Regulation of mixed relationships, intimacy and marriage in Europe. Starting in 2017, this year the project has now finally come to a close.
Before the summer, the three PhDs Nawal Mustafa<https://research.vu.nl/en/publications/a-certain-class-of-undesirables-race-regulation-amp-interrraciali>, Rébecca Franco<https://research.vu.nl/en/publications/between-problematisation-and-invisibilisation-the-regulation-of-i> and Andrea Tarchi<https://research.vu.nl/en/publications/building-the-intimate-boundaries-of-the-nation-the-regulation-of-> have finalised their projects. Their wonderful dissertations have been published open access and can be read if you click on their names.
Next to these three PhDs, several articles came out of the project, published by the PhDs, the postdocs Elena Zambelli and Guno Jones and myself. Please check our Euromix website<http://euromixproject.nl/> for references as well as information on other activities and our blogs (including some nice pictures of the defences).
Although a lot has already been accomplished, we are not entirely finished yet.
We are still working on an edited book entitled Regulating Empire and Nation: Interracialised Intimacies in Europe and beyond, with contributions from scholars from different geographical and disciplinary backgrounds (including some of you). The book is edited by Elena Zambelli and myself and publication of this book is planned for 2024. We intend to organize a festive book launch as a final conclusion of the Euromix project and will send an invite to this list.
Although the Euromix project is finished, our e-mailing list<https://listserver.vu.nl/mailman/listinfo/euromixproject.rch> is still up and running for those who want to remain in contact with others interested in research regarding interracialised intimacies/'mixed' couples and families in Europe and beyond. We hope it can continue to function as a community of researchers interested in this topic. Please don't hesitate to send your publications, cfp and other interesting news and announcements!

Best wishes, Betty
