 of the classical theorem that orientable manifolds have even Euler characteristic unless the dimension is a multiple of 4. This generalization to higher orientable manifolds leads to a new open problem that extends the Hopf invariant one problem.</span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black;background:white"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
