The Friday Fish of next week will take place in an unusual location. Since many of the people interested in Friday Fish are also attending the factorization homology seminar that’s happening next Friday at the VU, we decided to have the Friday Fish at the VU as well. This time Wei will be speaking about DGA invariants of Legendrian knots.

  *   Location: NU9A46 (Maryam), on the 9th floor of the NU building
  *   Title: A DGA Invariant for Legendrian Knots
  *   Abstract: In contact geometry, Legendrian submanifolds are fundamental objects, though their classification remained poorly understood until the 1990s. In this talk, we will review some classical invariants and introduce the Chekanov-Eliashberg DGA invariant in R^3, whose ideas stem from the framework of pseudoholomorphic curves.
