We are pleased to announce the <b>2026/2027 UvA/VU Physics and Astronomy program for visiting professors</b> (see attached call). The program aims to attract and support high-profile visitors who are accomplished academics with a strong research background,
and recognized experts in one of the disciplines that our institutes specialize in.</div>

We invite the staff of each of the two participating institutes (the UvA Institute of Physics and the VU Department of Physics and Astronomy) to propose potential visitors for the academic year 2026/2027. Please submit your proposal by replying to this email
and attaching a brief motivation statement of maximum half a page <b>by May 22, 2026</b>.</div>
