<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">New traininggroups of Senior Teaching Qualification (STQ) will start in March 2026.
</span><span lang="EN-US">Please read along if you are considering starting this programme. Programme Directors and Programme Coordinators who do not yet have STQ are very much encouraged to participate. Below you will find more information about STQ and the
procedures for registering and nominating candidates.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="NL">STQ in brief</span></b><span lang="NL"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">STQ is an important program for further professionalization of leaders within programs. The STQ program revolves around a curriculum improvement within a program or faculties focuses on how to lead this process and how
to theorize the improvement. The program is intended for further development in the area of coordinating and management tasks within education, as well as educational knowledge and skills.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">Two groups will start in the spring: one in Dutch and one in English for both VU and UvA lecturers. The intake interviews will start in January 2026.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">More information about the program can be found in the attachments to this email.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">For candidates who already have extensive experience in leading educational innovation at curriculum level, there is the possibility of an individual trajectory. The same procedures apply for this trajectory.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="NL">Application and nomination of candidates</span></b><span lang="NL"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">To participate in STQ, candidates must <u>apply in two places</u>. First with the Director of Education of the faculty,
<b><i>Mareanne Karssen</i></b>. Additionally with the <b><i>STQ admissions committee</i></b>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u><span lang="NL">1.</span></u><span lang="NL"> <u>Registration with the Director of Education Mareanne Karssen.</u> This is required because only STQ candidates nominated through her to the STQ Admissions Committee are eligible for placement.
Candidates can be submitted to Pamela de Boer (<a href="mailto:pamela.de.boer@vu.nl">pamela.de.boer@vu.nl</a> ) until
<b><u>Thursday, November 6,</u></b><u> at the latest</u>. The submission should include a brief description of the STQ project the candidate has in mind. This outline should be no more than half an A4 describing
<u>the intended purpose and what program(s) are involved</u>. It is important that the project has been coordinated with the relevant OD and that the OD agrees to the project. Therefore, it is also requested to send the OD's agreement or support / assistance
along with the statement.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="NL">After listing candidates, Mareanne Karssen and Pamela de Boer will use the descriptions to rank the faculty candidates (due to limited places) and submit the nomination to the STQ admissions committee.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><u><span lang="NL">2.</span></u><span lang="NL"> <u>Submission to the STQ admissions committee</u>. In addition to registering with the Director of Education, it is also necessary for candidates to register themselves with the STQ admissions
committee. They do this by sending a completed questionnaire and teaching CV (see attachments to this mail)
