<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">During the weekend of 19 April (19 April 18.00 to 21 April 18.00), we would like to carry out important test activities at Service IT to ensure the continuity of systems. During this so-called 'fall-back test', we will
test whether the various data centers take over work from each other. This is crucial for the continuity of systems for VU. These tests may cause delays or disruption to the use of systems or applications on Saturday and Sunday.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Before we definitively schedule this work, we take stock of whether there is nothing scheduled on campus that weekend that should take priority over our work. This could include exams, workshops, courses or other meetings

<p style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">In het weekend van 19 april (19 april 18.00 uur tot 21 april 18.00) willen we bij dienst IT belangrijke testwerkzaamheden uitvoeren om de continuïteit van systemen te waarborgen. Tijdens deze zogenaamde ‘uitwijktest’ gaan we testen
of de verschillende datacentra het werk van elkaar overnemen. Dit is cruciaal voor de continuiteit van de systemen voor de VU. Deze testen kunnen op zaterdag en zondag vertraging of hinder veroorzaken bij het gebruik van systemen of applicaties.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">Voordat we deze werkzaamheden definitief plannen, inventariseren we of er dat weekend op de campus niets gepland is wat voorrang moet krijgen boven onze werkzaamheden. Dan kun je denken aan tentamens, workshops, cursussen of andere
bijeenkomsten op de campus. Ik hoor graag vóór 1 februari of dat voor jouw dienst of faculteit het geval is, zodat we in gesprek kunnen over de planning van onze werkzaamheden.<o:p></o:p></p>
