[staff-physics-and-astronomy-HL-UHD-UD] Some final information

Dear all,

As most of you by now will probably know, I will be out of the office for the coming months (June-October). With this email, I would like to give some final information on the support on various topics during this period. Besides Karin, Marja and Brigit, George Wever (g.p.wever at vu.nl<mailto:g.p.wever at vu.nl>) joined the team to support the department. From September on, Salina Quack will also join the team.

Projects

  *   As usual, both Mariia and Susanti from projectcontrol will take care of the finances related to your projects. Karin will be the first point of contact for the department side of projects. Both Karin and George will meet with Susanti and Mariia on a weekly basis to discuss projects and applications.

Finances

  *   Karin will, as usual, be your first point of contact for anything related to our first money stream finances. She can also assist on the project finances, but first points of contact here remain Susanti and Mariia.

HR

  *   George will be your first point of contact for HR related matters. He will also perform the necessary checks to ensure we can appoint new people. In case you have questions, reach out to him. He is also in close contact with our HR advisor Erica Wagenaar.

Signatures

  *   Internship agreements will be signed by Karin. All other documents will be signed by Esther. As always, Legal needs to check most of the documents first. Therefore, please reach out to Karin and/or George whenever you need documents signed. They will coordinate the process of the signature.

Facilities

  *   George is your first point of contact for issues related to housing and facilities. George is in contact with Paul Goossens and FCO. Here, the technicians of course also have a close line to Paul which is convenient mostly for the labs.

Communication

  *   At the moment, Matilde is your first point of contact for anything related to communication. In case you would like to post something on our website, the general Teams pages or Linkedin, please send an email to communications.physics.beta at vu.nl<mailto:communications.physics.beta at vu.nl>.

MT

  *   Karin will replace me on the MT. If you want something on the MT agenda, reach out to her (or Juan, Laura or Oscar of course).

Please include me in cc in the next months whenever you think it might be important for the future as well. I will, once back, archive all my received emails so that I can look back what was discussed and agreed upon over email.

Finally, then, I would then like to wish you all the best in the coming months. I am sure you, and the department as a whole, will keep thriving! Also, enjoy your summer breaks!
