Dear Colleagues,
This email is to inform you about the upcoming site visit of a peer review committee to the Science Faculty of the VU.
The committee will be on-site from February 2–4 as part of a research assessment conducted under the Strategy Evaluation Protocol (SEP). The committee's mandate includes reviewing the research quality, societal relevance, and viability of three departments within the faculty (the Amsterdam Institute for Life and Environment (A-LIFE), Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPS), and Physics and Astronomy (P&A).
In addition, and in line with the SEP, the self-evaluation also addresses four specific aspects that are considered essential to how research is conducted and supported: Open Science, PhD Policy and Training, Academic Culture, and Human Resources Policy
Because the committee cannot meet everyone, there is an option for spontaneous input beyond the scheduled interviews, probably via a short online meeting on the afternoon/early evening of February 2nd.
To provide input, please send an email to the committee secretary at @jetje at eduflow.info<mailto:jetje at eduflow.info> before January 26th. Kindly include the specific theme or topic you would like to discuss.
Best regards,
dr. Jetje De Groof (secretary of the committee), also on behalf of prof. dr Ineke Braakman, chair of the committee
