Dear all,

Here an invitation to become a member of the Society for the promotion of Natural Sciences, Medicine, and Surgery (Genootschap ter bevordering van Natuur- Genees- en Heelkunde, hereafter: GNGH), a renowned scientific society.
The Society (founded in 1790) organizes scientific lectures and public lectures, provides grants and travel grants, manages eight endowed chairs at the UvA, VU, and Amsterdam UMC, awards scientific honors, and serves as a forum for discussion between various disciplines (medical scientists, physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists, and dentists), essential for multidisciplinary research. Further information can be found in the attached letters.

This year, at the General Assembly on March 13th, the Snellius Penning will be awarded to a physicist with connections to our department….
