Dear colleagues,

This week I discovered GitHub Education benefits.
After uploading a screenshot of my VU profile, my academic status was verified, and after 72h waiting time I got free access to CopilotPro (for 2 years). With CopilotPro you can use agents like Claude 4.6 and many others, and give your agents ~300 tasks/month.
Attached the screenshots. I have already worked a couple of weeks with the CopilotPro free version, and it is amazing how much these agents can help you with data preprocessing, making standard plots, boilerplate code, difficult substitutions, searches, diving deep into a code base, debugging, etc. Since the pyglotaran software that we develop is already on github, the fact that the LLM's will learn from my agent usage is considered acceptable.
Assuming you already have a github account, just go to https://github.com/settings/education/benefits. Otherwise, you first have to make a github account and use your favorite two-factor-authentication method.
