I am thrilled to share with you the excellent news that the Board of the 
VU has appointed Chase to one of the prestigious University Research 
Chair professorships:

The University Research Chair is a selective appointment as a full 
professor which comes together with dedicated resources to support the 
role of Chase as VU ambassador.

With the URC program, VU Amsterdam recognises its excellent scientists

Chase but also a recognition at the university level of the relevance 
and impact of the research carried out in our physics departement.
