Hi all,

I would like to draw your attention to the following opportunity to nominate PhDs, postdocs and students for the Lindau Meetings with Nobel Laureates. Since this round of candidates is seen as a target group at the interface, candidates from disciplines other than physics, chemistry and medicine/physiology are also eligible for invitation this year.
Below is a summary of the most important information:

  * What: The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings aim to transfer knowledge between generations of scientists, strengthen international networks and inspire both young scientists and Nobel Laureates. The KNAW has been participating since 2008 and nominates young scientists to the Council for the Lindau Meetings, which makes the selection for participation. The KNAW contributes to the participation costs of the participants it nominates.
  *   When: 28 June – 3 July 2026
  * Who: Students, PhD candidates and postdocs (no more than 5 years of experience) affiliated with a university or research institution in the Kingdom of the Netherlands
  * Field: Scientists (or students) conducting research at the intersection of at least two Nobel Prize disciplines (chemistry, physics, and physiology or medicine) or at the intersection of one Nobel Prize discipline and another discipline from the social or natural sciences.
  * Who can nominate: assistant professors, associate professors and professors (at a university in the Netherlands)
  *   Deadline: 25 September 23:59
  * Website: https://www.knaw.nl/fondsen-en-prijzen/lindau-ontmoetingsdagen-met-nobelprijslaureaten (you will also find the nomination form on the website)

Best,
Jordi
