Date: Monday March 11 | 10:00 - 12:00 PM | location: on campus, Agora 1.

In preparation for the upcoming 2025 ERC Grant applications, the National Contact Point (RVO) will present an information session for potential VU applicants, with a main focus on the Starting and Consolidator Grants.

During this session you will gain insight into:

*            the ERC rules and procedures
*            the profile of a potentially successful candidate
*            the term 'frontier science'
*            and receive an overview of the recent changes in the ERC program

This information session is open to everyone working at the VU as a researcher. Registration is mandatory and can be done via the registration form<https://forms.office.com/e/78g7v5bqM1>.
VU ERC Starting Grant (StG) Training Program

IXA-GO, VU Grants Office offers a VU-wide training program for the ERC Starting Grant in collaboration with several faculties. Each faculty can submit a number of promising researchers to participate in this program. For more information on the program, see the webpage<https://vu.nl/en/employee/research-support/erc-starting-grant-training-program> of the program.
To join this program, you would need to send the following documents to the appointed contact persons of your faculty:

  *   a letter of support (or an email) from the director of the department the candidate is expected to develop their research activity
  *   an abstract of your research idea
  *   a detailed C.V.
The deadline for application for the program is Friday 29 March 2024. A selection of the candidates to join this program will be made by the director of valorization and the portfolio holder research of each specific faculty.
