Dear all,

Recently you have all sent me your self-evaluations. For this, I want to thank you!

After inspection of the information shared by you, we (Johannes, Juan, Rick and me) have concluded that the information is, unfortunately, incomplete and/or incorrect in some cases. We think this might be due to the fact that we have not asked clearly enough what is we need. Therefore, I will have to ask from all of you again to submit the information in the format attached.This format is a bit more elaborate, as it now also includes three other sheets in the Excel, where we ask for additional information on the number of externally funded PhDs and PDs, the PhDs that graduated over the past 5 years, teaching activities and supervision of BSc and MSc students. Please provide us with this additional information.

I am aware that I am, again, asking a lot from all of you. We do need this information however, to keep track of the performance of the department as a whole. Moreover, we would like to keep the self-evaluation a regular, annual, way of self-assessment providing input for your annual conversations. This is the first time we do this and so we are learning too on how to best do this.

I thank you in advance for providing the input requested. Please do so by September 6 at the latest.
