Title: The Higgs boson - a decade after its discovery
Abstract: The Higgs boson was discovered in 2012 at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, almost half a century after its theoretical prediction. The long awaited experimental observation was the result of years of detector design, construction, and advanced data analysis by thousands of experimental particle physicists at the ATLAS and CMS experiments. But what did we learn in the years following its discovery? And what do we still want to learn more about this crucial particle? In this colloquium, I will give overview of the main lessons we learned from the studies of the Higgs boson over the recent years, and the discoveries we still anticipate in the upcoming LHC data, after upgrading the particle accelerator and detectors at CERN.
