Please reply before 8th of March as we have deadline for this transition.

Dear All,

As you see the e-mail below, the University Board decided to use Microsoft Teams as our primary communication & collaboration platform and storage for folders.

G-drive will no longer be available after the beginning of the June. It will be available only as archive.

To realize this transition, we need to know whether you are currently using G-drive or not as your main storage platform. Please inform us to reply this email.

If your answer is yes, I will contact you regarding to further steps.

Beste collega,

Je hebt inmiddels als medewerker van BETA Wave 1 en 2 doorlopen, ofwel: toegang gekregen tot het nieuwste MS365 Officepakket, tot Microsoft Teams om te bellen, chatten en vergaderen, mail in de Cloud en OneDrive voor opslag van persoonlijke werkbestanden. Door je nieuwe werkomgeving kun je flexibeler, veiliger en effectiever communiceren en (samen)werken.

We gaan nu starten met Wave 3: het traject om de teamstructuur in MS Teams neer te zetten en de afdelingsbestanden van de G-schijf naar MS Teams te verhuizen. Hiermee ben je in staat om de volledige potentie van MS Teams voor samenwerken te gebruiken.

Ben je niet bekend met MS Teams? Geen zorgen! In het kopje 'Extra ondersteuning' lichten wij verder toe wat je kan doen om MS Teams eigen te maken.

Het traject

Tijdens het traject werken we samen met afgevaardigden van de faculteit om:

  *   De eigenaren van data op de G-schijf in beeld te krijgen;
  *   De G-schijf op te schonen en te herstructureren;
  *   De benodigde teamstructuur voor MS Teams te definiëren;
  *   De afdelingsbestanden van de G-schijf naar MS Teams te verhuizen.

Tijdens het traject word je op de hoogte gehouden van de voortgang van dit proces en vragen wij je om ervoor te zorgen dat je voordat de migratie plaatsvindt kennis hebt van de nieuwe manier van werken, ofwel het (samen)werken in MS Teams.

Ook kan je je hier opgeven voor training niveau 3 (het samenwerken in Teams). Wij raden aan om niveau 3 te volgen voordat de livegang plaatsvindt, zodat je niet voor verrassingen komt te staan als de documenten van de G-schijf naar Microsoft Teams zijn overgezet en je niet weet hoe je ermee moet werken. The process

Dear Colleague,

By now you as an employee of BETA have gone through Wave 1 and 2 whereby you gained access to the MS365 Office suite, to Microsoft Teams for calling, chatting and conferencing, mail in the Cloud and OneDrive for storing personal work files. Your new work environment allows you to communicate and (collaborate) more flexibly, securely and effectively.

We will start with Wave 3: the process of setting up the team structure in MS Teams and moving the departmental files from the G drive to MS Teams. With this you will be able to use the full potential of MS Teams for collaboration.

Not familiar with MS Teams? No worries! In the section 'Extra support' we will further explain what you can do to make MS Teams your own.

The process
During the process, we work with faculty representatives to:

  *   Identify the owners of data on the G drive;
  *   Clean up and restructure the G drive;
  *   Define the team structure for MS Teams;
  *   Move the departmental files from the G drive to MS Teams.

During the process you will be kept informed about the progress of this project and we ask you to make sure you are familiar with the new way of working, i.e. working (together) in MS Teams, before the migration takes place.

You can also sign up for level 3 training (working together in Teams) here. We recommend taking level 3 before going live so you won't have any surprises when the documents are transferred from the G drive to Microsoft Teams and you don't know how to work with them.
