Dear all,

See the email below from Antoine about this year's Research Practicum.

Please let him know before the end of next week, if you can offer any project (with a small description for the students).

Best,
Max

Dear Max,

It is time for us to collect topics for the research practicum happening this coming January. The Timelinefor 2023 is the following:
Week 1 (Jan 9-13): full-time week for group A+B.
Week 2 (Jan 16-20): full-time week for group C+D.
Week 3 (Jan 23-27): report writing and preparing oral presentation; two-hour (mandatory) workgroup session on reporting (group A+B: Jan 24, group C+D: Jan 26); students upload a preliminary version of their report prior to the workgroup. By the end of the week: hand in intermediate version of report to supervisor (deadline: Jan 30).
Week 4 (Jan 30- Feb 3): oral presentation in symposium (January 31). Continue report writing. Receive feedback from supervisor on intermediate version of written report. Finalize written report, incorporating feedback (deadline to hand in: Feb 5); NB: send your final report to the supervisor and upload it to the Canvas site of RP).

Last year, those were the topics that you proposed in LaserLAv @VU:
LaserLab/VU
1-Adiabatic passage for spin-flip experiments in H2+
2-Excitation energy transfer in photosynthetic complexes measured with ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy

If you could come up, at least, with the same number of topics, it would be fantastic (we need to accommodate ~110 students!).

Many thanks in advance,

Best wishes,

Antoine
