to do a PhD. Master's students often lack a clear understanding of the full responsibilities, requirements, and realities of starting a PhD. This gap is particularly pronounced for students who have not participated in research internships and lack insights
into the workings of academia. Although pursuing a PhD is often encouraged towards the end of master's programs, many students lack the information needed to make an informed decision. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xelementtoproof" style="background:white"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#242424">For the project, we are organizing four informal discussion sessions between master's students and PhD candidates
from various faculties and doctoral schools at the VU and AmsterdamUMC. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

by three presentations from PhD’s who will share their experiences in navigating a PhD, touching on topics such as supervision, career path, mental health, well-being, and social safety. The presentations will be followed by open discussions where the master's students
will be divided into groups with a PhD. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
