between blood and brain, with wide-ranging effects on the brain. The group of Roosmarijn Vandenbroucke focuses on the role of the blood-CSF barrier in systemic inflammation (such as sepsis and gut inflammation) and neuroinflammation (such as multiple sclerosis,
Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease) in preclinical models. 2015. In 2018, alongside her role as a professor, she became a group leader at the VIB Center for Inflammation Research. In this workshop, she will discuss and answer questions about her career path within research.<br>
