Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to welcome Prof. Carmen Sandi (EPFL, Switzerland), former President of FENS and one of Europe's leading neuroscientists, as keynote speaker at the 2nd edition of the Cajal Encounters. This is a unique opportunity to meet her in person and join her in an open discussion with leading neuroscientists working in the Netherlands.

CAJAL ENCOUNTERS – "THE STRESSED BRAIN"

In person, in English, free of charge

The afternoon includes a keynote lecture by Prof. Sandi, early-career pitches, an experts round table with audience Q&A, and a networking borrel with drinks, snacks and a Neuroart exhibition inspired by Ramón y Cajal. More information can be found in the attached flyer.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Early-career researchers, including master's students, PhD candidates and postdocs, are invited to submit an abstract for a short pitch talk (8 minutes + 2 minutes questions) by 20 October 2026.
