David Rowitch, Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Cambridge and
Adjunct Professor at UCSF, is a pediatrician (neonatologist) and developmental
neuroscientist. In this lecture, he will offer the dual perspective of a clinician-scientist,
bridging fundamental neuroscience and patient care. He will explore the
role of Olig2 and the oligodendrocyte lineage, along with Wnt pathway
regulation, in cerebral palsy. Additionally, he will discuss Cux2-marked neurons in
adult neuroin_ammatory injury, providing insights into DNA damage pathways
and mechanisms of cellular resilience.
