**Building bridges in neuroscience – starting with a retreat**
As the newest member of the ONWAR board, Odile van den Heuvel brings over 25 years of experience at the crossroads of clinical and pre-clinical neuroscience. In this interview, she reflects on how a single conversation at her first ONWAR retreat sparked a lifelong research collaboration—and how that same spirit of interdisciplinary exchange still drives her today. She shares her vision for neuroscience education, the importance of translational communication, and her hopes for future ONWAR generations.

Introductory Course – October 20–22


The ONWAR Introductory Course will take place from October 20 to 22. During these days, you’ll visit all participating institutes, meet fellow PhD candidates, and get an overview of the graduate school.
The course is mandatory for all first-year PhDs who haven’t attended yet.

**Best ONWAR Image Contest**


The ONWAR website is getting a make-over and we need your help.

With the idea to update the cover image of the website, we are organizing a ***Best ONWAR Image Contest !***

 

Multiple images will be selected to make a patchwork and represent all the work that is done within ONWAR.

ONWAR Annual Meeting 2025


It will take place again at **Woudschoten**, this year on **30 & 31 October**, right during Halloween.
