Hi Daina,
How have you been? We really appreciated your forward of our introduction course to the consortium. Because of that we were able to help many more people get a better understanding of fNIRS. We found that in the community, there was more need for an introduction course, so we focused our attention on providing more of those for the time being. During the course, we talked with many people and found that all of them have quite different preferences in terms of device features and specifications.
Since this interaction, I wanted to share an idea of ours. We would be interested to optimize a system that would meet the needs of everyone involved in the consortium. These developments would probably be based on already existing and tested technology and could be upgrades or alterations to, for example, our DualBrite setup. To kickstart exploring this idea, I would like to send out a survey among the consortium members. This survey could delve into crucial aspects such as the preferred number of channels/areas, the desired length of preparation time, and other pertinent considerations. By gathering insights from your collective expertise, we can gain valuable perspectives that will inform the direction of our development efforts.
Furthermore, given our proximity, we are well-positioned to be on-site and provide quick assistance whenever necessary. This proximity enables us to foster closer collaboration and streamline our development process effectively.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts on this proposal. Please feel free to reach out at your earliest convenience to discuss this idea further.

It's quite busy with a lot of inquiries at the moment so unfortunately we could not promote the talk at short notice.
We are looking to organize a meeting in the Netherlands soon, I will keep you updated on that. We'd love to welcome you as a speaker.
Thank you for looking into the possibilities to collaborate on the grant, too bad it's not possible. We'd love to hear how it progresses nonetheless.
