[Nano-group.beta] Save the date: Friday 3 July 2026 - Annual LaserLaB Symposium

Dear colleagues,

As in previous years, we are pleased to announce the annual LaserLaB Symposium again, which will be held on Friday the 3rd of July. The Symposium will bring together members of the LaserLaB community for a day of scientific and social exchange.

This year, part of the programme will be specially dedicated to the memory of Freek Ariese, who sadly passed away early January. Freek made many inspiring contributions to LaserLaB and the yearly Symposium, and to honor that we will welcome several invited speakers who were close friends and collaborators of Freek.

Unlike previous editions, this year’s Symposium will feature a morning and an afternoon programme. The day will include presentations from the LaserLaB research groups, invited talks connected to Freek’s work, the Best Paper Competition, a lunch break at midday, and drinks to conclude the event.

We kindly invite you to save the date: Friday 3 July, from 9.30 am onwards, and we are looking forward to welcoming you all to the Symposium. Further details and the full program will follow in due course.

Beste collega's,

Zoals in voorgaande jaren, kondigen we met genoegen aan dat er weer een LaserLaB Symposium zal zijn, en wel op vrijdag 3 juli. Het symposium brengt de leden van de LaserLaB-gemeenschap samen voor een dag vol wetenschappelijke en sociale uitwisseling.

Dit jaar is een deel van het programma speciaal gewijd aan de nagedachtenis van Freek Ariese, die helaas begin januari is overleden. Freek heeft vele inspirerende bijdragen geleverd aan LaserLaB en het jaarlijkse symposium, en ter ere daarvan verwelkomen we een aantal uitgenodigde sprekers die goede vrienden en collega's van Freek waren.

In tegenstelling tot eerdere edities, bestaat het symposium van dit jaar uit een ochtend- en een middagprogramma. De dag omvat presentaties van de LaserLaB-onderzoeksgroepen, uitgenodigde sprekers gerelateerd aan het werk van Freek, de Best Paper Competition, een lunchpauze rond het middaguur en een borrel ter afsluiting.

Wij nodigen u van harte uit om de datum alvast te noteren: vrijdag 3 juli, vanaf 9.30 uur. We kijken ernaar uit u allen te mogen verwelkomen op het symposium. Meer details en het volledige programma volgen te zijner tijd.
