Dear all,



With the holidays closing in, we are pleased to announce this year's 'Christmas lunch' on the 16th of December! After a couple of years without any Christmas celebrations, we are especially happy to be able to continue the tradition with all of our research groups together!



The general idea of the Christmas lunch is simple; from 12.00 hr onwards the pop-up room in the lobby of the O|2 building is available for us to enjoy food and drinks until the building closes. (for this special occasion we have arranged until midnight)



Beers & wine will be provided by the department, however, the truly special thing about the Christmas lunch is the food: which we will prepare ourselves!

We would therefore kindly like to ask everyone to bring some of your own specialties. Given our very international work environment, who knows what will be on the menu :)



In previous years, we used the high (white colored) storage cabinets in the main office on the 4th floor to display the (preliminary) X-mas menu:

The menu can be divided in starters, dinner or desserts type of dishes. It would be nice to write down your name and your dish, as it's both handy and fun to have an idea of what's on the menu. If you don't no problem, surprises are welcome as well...



Small sidenote: Since most of us usually prepare something, it's not really necessary to prepare a lot. On the other hand, however, don't be too concerned!

Keep in mind we have the whole day and will probably have some drinks as well ;) Indeed, Santa can tell from his experience he has hardly ever encountered a significant amount of left-overs...


Last but not least, lets keep the Christmas spirit; everyone is welcome so please don't forget to invite your students (or anyone else I forgot to include in this e-mail) as well.

We are looking forward to have a great time and to see many of you there!
