Dear Sander,

On Thursday June 26th, I will be co-hosting a session at LPS – “The ESA-NASA Arctic Methane Permafrost Challenge (AMPAC) community past and future review”. AMPAC has been an important joint initiative for ESA and NASA for investigating the mystery of methane emissions from the Arctic permafrost.

In this session we will discuss what has been achieved, and what future directions of AMPAC could be.

Given the Arctic elements of the IM4CA project, and the link with SMART-CH4, I would like to request that you encouraged IM4CA partners to attend this event if they are at LPS, to help shape what the future of AMPAC may be, as it may well be beneficial for future collaboration.
