Dear Jean-Daniel, Thomas, all in WP1,

We recently discussed the possibilities of supporting the analysis of
your measurement campaigns by connecting the data on the IM4CA Research
Drive and the ICOS Jupyter Hub. You could then analyse your data
collaboratively, e.g. with Jupyter Notebooks.

To set this up, the following steps are required:

 1.

You define a folder on the IM4CA Research Drive that should be
connected to a dedicated project on the ICOS Jupyter Hub. This
folder will be made available in read-only mode on Jupyter Hub.

 2.

You designate a contact person to act as the 'owner' of the project
    on Jupyter Hub.

 3.

The project owner applies for an account on the Jupyter Hub, if this
this account does not already exist.
    https://www.icos-cp.eu/jupyter-personal-account-application

 4.

The project owner applies for a project space on Jupyter Hub
    https://www.icos-cp.eu/jupyter-collaboration-space-application This
application should include a short title (e.g. IM4CA_WP1) and
description, as well as the list of all project members (email
addresses). Of course, new members can be added at any time.

 5.

Once the project has been created, we will notify the project owner.
The project owner then invites the project members.

 6.

All project members who not yet have an account on the ICOS Jupyter
    Hub can apply here
    https://www.icos-cp.eu/jupyter-personal-account-application

 7.

Any additional user who are to join the project later can apply here
    https://www.icos-cp.eu/jupyter-project-membership-application

 8.

At Carbon Portal we will investigate the technical possibilities of
connecting the IM4CA Research Drive and, if necessary, find an
    expert at VU or SURF.

You could get started anytime to work on 1.-4., while we get started with 8.

Once everything is set up, we will provide you with an introduction of
the workflow and how to best collaborate on Jupyter Hub.

Let me know if you have any questions or encounter any problems.

Best regards,
Ute
