on Belgium; it also contains chapters on countries outside Europe. <span style="font-family:ArialMT">I believe that this SI makes an important contribution to the field, </span><span style="font-family:ArialMT">and hope that it will reach as many readers as possible. </span>The collection has nine contributions plus the Introduction
written by the three guest editors. The nine articles address the diverse experiences of the identification, socializing and mainstreaming of multiethnic and multiracial individuals in different national contexts around the world: United Kingdom, Sweden, Ireland,
Spain, Canada, the United States, Japan, Singapore, and Israel. All the contributions are empirically based and use a variety of research methods, making the volume both cross-disciplinary as well as cross-national. <br>
