[Euromixproject.rch] Conference in tribute to Beate Collet: program and registration

Dear colleagues,

On May 31, the conference "Marital and family dynamics in situations of
diversity and migration. Reflections on the sociological research of Beate
Collet" will take place at Paris-Sorbonne University.

It aims to report the major scientific contribution of Beate Collet to the
structuring, in France and internationally, of the field of study of
contemporary forms of marital and family mixedness. Different insights will
be offered on the way in which Beate Collet has renewed the sociological
analysis of mixed couples, placing it at the crossroads of the sociology of
family, couple, immigration, discrimination, and gender and
intersectionality issues. This day will also be an opportunity for
methodological reflection, around biographical and empirical perspectives
and the way in which academic and civic engagement can be articulated in a
remarkable professional and intellectual career. These moments of
scientific exchange around Beate Collet's research will be based on the
plurality of her commitments and institutional anchors, as evidenced by the
mobilization of the numerous actors and partners of this day.

Bringing together French and international colleagues and doctoral students
of Beate Collet wishing to pay tribute to her, this day will also recall
her human qualities and her unfailing commitment in and for the University.
