Hello everybody,
I write to you all to invite you to submit an article for a special issue on "Mixed Marriages in Post-1945 Europe and Beyond" for the journal *Genealogy*. I am one of the guest editors for this issue, working with Professor Gail Savage, and I wish to encourage your participation in this project, due to your involvement with this very important topic!
For more detail on the way in which we envision the collection see the detailed call for papers here: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/genealogy/special_issues/marriages

Feature Papers represent the most advanced research with significant potential for high impact in the field. Feature Papers are submitted upon individual invitation or recommendation by the scientific editors and undergo peer review prior to publication.

*Genealogy* publishes articles on family history and, though a relatively new publication, has a strong academic record. It is also open access and so has a large readership. *This is a journal that provides free access to all readers and so usually charges a fee or article processing charge (APC) to authors. However, given the impact of pandemic conditions on research and publication funding, the journal plans to waive the fee for invited authors.*
The article should be between 8,000-10,000 words and follow the guidelines of the journal. (We will forward the guidelines and template when your abstract is accepted.) The guidelines and CfP can also be found on the journal website. The submission deadline for abstracts of proposed essays is *18 March 2022, with completed essays due June 4*. An abstract of 250 words about the topic you have selected should be emailed to me or the editorial office (glsavage at smcm.edu; christoph.lorke at wwu.de or genealogy at mdpi.com). Once the abstract is accepted, the finished article should be uploaded to the journal webpage and will then be sent to reviewers. The journal mandates two outside reviewers for all submissions. Publication is normally 6-8 weeks after the final draft submission.
Of course, I understand that other commitments might preclude your participation in this project, but if you knew of other colleagues whose work would be appropriate for inclusion, please pass along their names or tell them to get in touch with us directly.
If you have any questions, I would be very happy to address them!
Best wishes,
Christoph (Lorke)
