<div class="v1pre" style="margin: 0; padding: 0; font-family: monospace;">as announced previously, the next <strong>Studying Global China workshop</strong> takes place on June 23rd & 24th in Berlin! You are cordially invited to participate. The <a href="https://eveeno.com/345262977" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">registration</a> deadline is May 31st. <div class="v1pre" style="margin: 0; padding: 0; font-family: monospace;"><br />The first day of the workshop, features four lectures by <strong>Ching Kwan Lee</strong> (UCLA) on <strong>Researching Global China</strong>, <strong>Heejin Lee </strong>(Yonsei University) on <strong>The Rise of China in International Standardization and the Geopolitics of (Digital) Standards</strong>, <strong>Yuka Kobayashi </strong>(SOAS / DGAP) on <strong>Global China - in the study of China and World Order</strong>, and <strong>Bertram Lang</strong> (Philipps-Universität Marburg) on <strong>Global China in the Philanthropy World. </strong></div>
<div class="v1pre" style="margin: 0; padding: 0; font-family: monospace;">
<p>On the second day of the workshop, <strong>PhD students and early postdoctoral researchers</strong> will have the opportunity to learn about <strong>scholarship</strong> <strong>opportunities</strong>, p<strong>resent their research</strong>, and <strong>discuss challenges</strong> related to fieldwork. In addition to her lecture on Monday, <strong>C. K. Lee will lead two feedback sessions</strong> in which PhD students can receive comments on their research projects. If you are interested in participating in one of these sessions with C. K. Lee, please submit a one-page summary of your research project (350–500 words) to <a>merle.groneweg@hu-berlin.de</a>. Your summary should include your research question, methodology, current stage of research, and the status of your data collection. The workshop is open to all PhD students, with a preference for those in the early planning stages, about to begin fieldwork, or who have recently returned from the field. Please note: The sessions with C. K. Lee are separate from the informal discussions on research and fieldwork. To take part in those, it is sufficient to complete the registration form.</p>
