Hi Melpomeni,

Regarding GEMA: They are not looking for budget, so I do not intend to change anything. They do an own study in Germany, which we could position as an additional Living Lab, which is completely funded by GEMA. So no funding needed.

What I will is the following:
- we draft a NDA with GEMA so that they can participate and we can share materials. This ensures that we work with them on the short term
- for the long term, we will do for the AP.

Regarding GTM: I see them this afternoon, so I will dicuss.

Dear Jaap,

Concerning GEMA, I see your rationale. Please discuss in detail which parts GEMA would undertake. If it is for example exploitation, please consider and discuss with e.g. BUMA and the rest of the consortium, as the PMs and potentially budget might need to be adjusted. The maximum grant amount cannot be increased. Please also identify any concrete synergies with GEMA(specify their contribution per Task in which they will be involved)  that will support your work and the exploitation after the end of the project. I propose to also include these proposals in the deviations of the periodic report as ‘proposed activities’, so they can be discussed with experts.

Can you also please inform us about any updates GTM’s request and the meeting modalities?

Regarding the policy brief, you may also find several examples online. Please browse Cordis for other deliverables. In case you use the structure of an existing deliverable, please reference it and adapt it to the context of Music360.

Regarding the agenda, there is no template, it is usually prepared by the Coordinator. To facilitate you, I have attached a draft, which you may of course adapt and elaborate further. Please note that we may have to adjust the times, depending on the reviewers’ and consortium travel. Please check again all the times, as this is just a first draft. Please allow 10’ Q&A for each session and include 1 hour for discussion between the reviewers and myself right before the feedback to the consortium.
I would be grateful to have an updated draft from your side by the end of the week. You may send the final agenda after the consortium’s meeting.

Kindly accept my apologies for the delay in replying. We are fully involved in the ongoing evaluation, thank you in advance for your understanding.


  1.  Concerning the addition of GEMA as an Associated partner, an Amendment would be necessary. GEMA would also need to agree with all the Grant Agreement provisions for Associated partners that can be more challenging. Before proceeding with this option, please explore other possibilities, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements. You do not need an Associated partner for every synergy.
In case you decide as consortium that GEMA is preferable to join as Associated partner, then please clarify which parts they would undertake of the project implementation. Please note that Associated partners do not receive EU funding, so their contribution should come from other sources. The maximum grant amount might need to be decreased, if GEMA undertakes important part of the work from other partners. Moreover, since you have raised the issue of AMD in the past (e.g. Seconded personnel for GTM-please provide an update on this issue), it is better to reflect globally on the implementation of Music360 and the changes that are needed to decide if indeed an AMD is necessary.

  1.  Please keep the agreed date for the review meeting. I am expecting the confirmation of reviewers and I will get back to you in the coming days so you can book the tickets.
  2.  D6.3-done

D6.5-extended until 31/8, based on the request below.

D2.3- initial deadline 29/2. Based on your request, I changed the date to the end of April. Please submit by then, as it is in your interest that the reviewers have sufficient time to evaluate your work.

D9.6-extended to 30/4.

D7.3- Please find attached the template for the policy brief. It is just a layout which you can adapt to the project needs.

  1.  Submission of periodic report. The deadline is 30/4, which is automatic by the system. For some practical reasons and internal workflows, please submit at latest by 6/5. I hope that this deadline (granted in exceptional cases) will allow you to submit on time.

Next week, we have a consortium meeting in Valencia.
There are a number of outstanding questions to the EC, and I would like to discuss the answers during this meeting.


  1.  Addition of GEMA, which is the German authoring right society on music, as associated partner to the project.

GEMA represents a large part of the European market. GEMA also funds research about the value of music (similar to the ambition of Music360). We want to be able to exchange data with them, and also the research designs, so that the results will be comparable. One way to formalize the cooperation would be an associated partnership of GEMA. It would substantially increase the visibility and reach of the project, specifically in Germany. It would also contribute to the sustainability of the project, once the funding is over. Please provide your guidance here.



  1.  The review date (May 31, in Amsterdam) is fine. Can you confirm the date, so that we can take appropriate arrangements?
  2.  Concerning the review, is there a standard agenda we should use?
  3.  Deliverables:

     *   D6.3 - We uploaded the wrong version. Could you please reject this so we can upload the correct version? Thank you for your understanding and my apologies for the inconvenience!
     *   D6.5 – We would appreciate an extension of two months (so 30 Aug 2024). The main reason is the delay of the Irisch Living Lab.



I would really appreciate your answers, so that we can discuss them at the consortium meeting next week.
